Details:
Join us for this special workshop on journaling with Marilyn Lane from the librarys Welcome to Journaling group who will share tips on ways to engage and record with your own unique story. Registration is encouraged since space and supplies are limited. Whats a zine? Pronounced zeen, they are self-published by creators motivated to share knowledge, experiences, and opinions on a variety of topics. They can be any size and any length; they can be written, drawn or collaged; they empower the reader as well as the creator; they also never have to be shared with anyone else. Join our adult zining group to learn about zines, read a few, and try your hand at creating one or two - no artistic skills needed; all supplies provided. Upcoming adult zining workshops alternate each month between the 4th Wednesday at 1pm and the 4th Thursday at 6:30pm. Check the calendar for specific dates. This lecture is part of the librarys Community History Project, and was made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
