The Mount Holly Historical Society Museum serves as the official keeper of the archives for the City of Mount Holly, NC. Its mission is to enlighten the community with an understanding of its past through the preservation, display, and storage of locally significant historical artifacts and records, as well as through educational programs. The museum features rotating exhibits and a research library with access to genealogical websites and historical local newspapers. The organization, formed in 2010, is comprised of volunteers dedicated to preserving Mount Holly's history. They host monthly meetings with historical presentations and open the museum to the public every Saturday. The society also aims to foster interest in Mount Holly's history and preserve local resources through various activities.
