Details:
Join us for a fun, hands-on experience focused on healthy eating and discovering where our food comes from. In "The Community Garden: Build a Healthy Plate," Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will engage families in exploring plant parts—seeds, roots, stems, leaves, and flowers—through interactive learning. An Extension Health and Wellness educator will guide participants in preparing crunchy vegetable wraps while sharing practical tips for building a balanced, nutritious plate. Each family will also receive a 4-inch herb plant to take home and continue the learning experience.
Part of a grant-funded series for Lebanon County families, this program supports those interested in the YMCA Community Garden and will provide resources for future classes.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
