Storytime

Join us for a variety of engaging storytime events at local libraries, designed to foster early literacy skills and a love for reading among young children and their caregivers.

**Tiny Tots Storytime** at the HCPL Stratford Branch Library welcomes toddlers ages 18-35 months every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for a cozy session of stories, songs, and group play, promoting early literacy in a supportive environment.

**Sapling Storytime** invites preschoolers aged 3-6 years to participate in an interactive experience featuring books, songs, and crafts aimed at enhancing early literacy, social skills, and readiness for kindergarten. Free tickets are required and can be picked up at the Children's Reference Desk on the day of the event.

**Lil Buds Toddler Story Time** takes place every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., featuring songs, stories, and fingerplays designed for toddlers and their caregivers, along with ample playtime and socializing opportunities.

**Bilingual Spanish Story Time**, also held on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM, offers stories, songs, and rhymes in both Spanish and English for children aged 2-6. Free tickets are available 30 minutes before the program begins, with a limit of 65 attendees.

**Pre-School Storytime** at the Barbara Bush Branch Library includes stories, songs, and a monthly bilingual surprise for children ages 3-6. Tickets are required and can be obtained from the children's desk on the day of the event, as large groups cannot be accommodated during regular Storytimes.

Lastly, join **Prekindergarten Story Time** at the Octavia Field Library Branch, where children ages 0-5 can enjoy nursery rhymes, storytelling, arts and crafts, and play, all while gaining valuable pre-literacy skills through fun and interactive activities.

All programs strive to create a nurturing atmosphere for young children and their families, enriching their literacy journey in the community.
