In the exhibition "Eric N. Mack: All the Oohs, and the Aahs," fashion, textiles, painting, and sculpture converge to form a unique visual vocabulary that challenges traditional art forms. Eric N. Mack's practice focuses on the emotional and social responses evoked through his diverse use of fabrics collected from various sources, including Harlem and renowned global brands. His medium- and large-scale installations incorporate a variety of materials such as ladders and chain-link fences, inviting audiences to engage physically and conceptually with the art. The exhibition features a new Wex-commissioned installation on view from August 2025 to May 2026. Concurrently, Mimi Ọnụọha's video "Us, Aggregated 3.0" critiques technology's influence on identity by juxtaposing personal and algorithmically sourced images, illuminating power dynamics in classification. These artistic practices intersect to provoke discussions about community, categorization, and the evolving relationship between art and identity, culminating in a dialogue with Ọnụọha and academic Simone Browne on October 9, 2025, as part of the Arts, Technology and Social Change series.
