SDP 2026 Teen - Kinetic Sculptures

Join us for a series of enriching events celebrating creativity, personal growth, and community connection for ages 5-17! Experience the fascinating world of kinetic sculptures by learning about their history and engineering while creating your own moving paper art in the SDP 2026 Teen - Kinetic Sculptures workshop for ages 13-17. Younger participants aged 5-12 can explore various art styles in the Silhouette Self-Portrait activity, crafting their own portraits with stickers and materials that reflect their identities. As part of our Juneteenth festivities, everyone will honor Historical Black Beaches and can design a Black Beaches Bag. The Teen Chill Zone offers a cool retreat for teens aged 13-17, with activities focused on Juneteenth's history and symbols of freedom, including collages that express personal visions of liberation. Additionally, adults can celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month by learning about artist Ellsworth Kelly and creating inspired artwork. Don't miss these engaging experiences tailored for all ages!
