SDP 2026 Teen - Kinetic Sculptures

Join us for a dynamic series of events celebrating creativity, history, and freedom! For ages 13-17, the SDP 2026 Teen event invites you to explore the fascinating world of kinetic sculptures by learning their history and engineering while creating your own moving paper art. Meanwhile, our Juneteenth Celebration is designed for ages 6-12 and their parents, featuring an exploration of Juneteenth's history, discussions on the meaning of freedom, and a collage-making activity that displays personal interpretations of FREEDOM. Additionally, the Celebrate & Create: Juneteenth event welcomes ages 5-12 and caregivers to engage with the history of Juneteenth through crafts inspired by symbols of liberation, joy, and resilience. Lastly, teens aged 12-17 can honor Historical Black Beaches by learning about these significant spaces and crafting their own Black Beaches Bag. Join us to celebrate history through art and community!
