Mississippi Mills is Ottawa's next-door neighbour. In off-peak traffic we are 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa, one hour from West Quebec and two hours from Kingston and northern New York. Created as a result of municipal amalgamations in January 1998, the Municipality of Mississippi Mills is made up of the former Townships of Ramsay, Township of Pakenham, and the Town of Almonte.
