Dog Tales

Join us for a day of fun, learning, and creativity at North End Play Field in Aberdeen, WA! Experience "Dog Tales," where young readers can read aloud to Lori's certified therapy dogs, helping to build reading confidence in a relaxed environment. Simultaneously, enjoy "The Reptile Lady" featuring April Jackson, who will introduce a variety of reptiles including snakes and alligators in an interactive program that promotes love and respect for these creatures; adult supervision is required for children.

Additionally, take part in the "Library in the Parks" program in collaboration with the Aberdeen School District, Aberdeen Parks and Recreation, and the Grays Harbor YMCA, offering family-friendly crafts, outdoor activities, and access to books and resources. Don’t forget to visit the Anywhere Library at Central Playpark in Hoquiam, where families can borrow books, get library cards, and receive assistance with online services. Activities are also available to boost early literacy skills for children aged 0-5 at nearby Holy Family Catholic Church, which includes stories, music, and movement.
