Details:
Join us for the "See the Person Not the Use Art Show & Community Conversation" on Monday, June 15, from 5-6 p.m. in the Androscoggin Community Room. This event features artwork from local recovery center artists that aims to humanize the experiences of individuals impacted by the opioid epidemic, fostering community connection and reducing stigma. Artists will showcase their work and engage in important conversations with the community. The exhibition will remain on display on the second floor of the library until [insert date]. This initiative is supported by Maine's Project to Prevent Prescription Drug/Opioid Overdose-Related Deaths grant, which seeks to mitigate overdose rates in the state and diminish stigma around substance use and use disorders, in collaboration with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Spurwink Services.
