Details:
Join us for our fourth annual Educators' Night at the Museum! Get ready for an evening of fun and connection over history and refreshments! All educators are invited whether you teach in a public, private, or homeschool setting, or work in administration. You do not have to be in a history-related field to attend! Explore the museum if you haven't had a chance to visit recently, chat with our Youth Education Manager, Jordan Contreras, and learn about our free resources offered to educators! Make sure to sign in at the desk to earn 2 professional development hours.
This event is free to attend, but we do ask that you RSVP so we can better accommodate all guests. Each guest will leave with a folder of educational resources specific to their grade-level, and have the chance to reserve resources for the upcoming school year.
Resources on display include:
- Lake Jackson's First People: The Karankawa Mini Museum
- World War II: On the Home Front Mini Museum
- Lake Jackson Local Government Mini Museum
- Field trip scheduling process
- TEKS-aligned pre- and post-visit lesson plans
