Class: Adding to Your Family: Guiding Your Children Through the Foster Care Journey

Class Description:
Opening your home to foster children affects all members of a family, and adjustments will come more easily for some children than for others. Caregivers will explore how adding a foster child to their home can impact family dynamics and routines, and develop strategies for preparing their children for fostering. Participants will learn common reactions and questions of children related to the arrival of foster children, how to promote healthy relationships between all of the children, and how to help their children manage their feelings related to foster children leaving the home.
