Details:
Join artists Adderly Grant-Lord, Milo Elgh, Joseph Graves, Adri Norris, and James Dixon for a walkthrough of Black Futures: Genome Speaks What Erasure Cannot Silence. This talk will explore themes in exhibiting artworks, the creation process, and highlighting the diverse influences of the Black Futures series.
The exhibition reflects on five years of growth, returning to the enduring histories, memories, and creative lineages that shape Black artistic futures. It emphasizes that erasure cannot silence what is carried in the body and inherited through lived experience, imagination, and ancestral knowledge. As a continually evolving collective, Black Futures in Art celebrates a resilient, unbroken continuum of voices, brilliance, and cultural presence.
Black Futures in Art is curated by Adderly Grant-Lord and brings together contemporary Black artists working across mediums to reimagine legacy, community, and the futures they are actively building.
