Join us at the North Lamar Donor Center or the KAPS Charter School for a vital whole blood donation drive! Donating whole blood, which involves giving a pint, is crucial as it is later separated into red cells, plasma, and platelets for local hospitals to use in transfusions. We aim to recruit about 200 donors each day to meet community needs. Each donation appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour, including check-in, wellness checks, and refreshments, while the actual blood donation ranges from 15 to 35 minutes depending on whether you donate whole blood or double red cells.
