Details:
"Under The Oak" is a series of summer concerts held on the lawn between the flower fields at Kittery Land Trust headquarters. Rain or shine! On a sunny day, guests are invited to settle in under the oak tree and enjoy live local music. If it rains, we’ll be groovin’ in the greenhouse. Bring your own chair or blanket, pack a picnic, and make an evening of it. $10 suggested donation per person, kids are free.
Truffle celebrates 40 years as a band, recently earning a Legacy Makers Award from the Stone Church, and being nominated best in state by NEMA. They’ve toured all but ten states in the US; and now tour the New England region constantly. The ongoing list of international acts they have supported is huge: Dave Matthews Band, Little Feat, Bill Payne, Phish, The Band, Blues Traveler, The Radiators, Buckwheat Zydeco, Spin Doctors, Arlo Guthrie, Merl Saunders, Baba Ulatundje, New Riders Widespread panic and Toots and the Maytalls. They’ve released five albums, as well as numerous compilations culminating in their “30th Bandiversary Double Bootleg”. Roots, and Soul music with strong songwriting makes for a truly unique Truffle sound all their own.
During the event, the farm’s vibrant flower fields will be open for pick-your-own blooms, offering a hands-on way to connect with the land and take a bit of the farm home with you.
More than just a concert, Under the Oak supports meaningful work in our community. All proceeds directly benefit Kittery Land Trust’s efforts at Nooney Farm, helping steward the land, expand educational opportunities, and fight food insecurity.
Come for the music, stay for the sunset, and leave knowing you’ve helped nurture both people and place.
