Details:
Join us for our Monthly Volunteer Training and Refresher sessions at the NE Seattle Tool Library, where you can learn new skills and connect with other enthusiastic volunteers! This event is open to everyone—whether you're a seasoned volunteer, returning after some time, or completely new—everyone is welcome. During our training, we’ll cover essential knowledge on checking in and out tools, assisting members, and answering questions. Additionally, we’ll explore various volunteering opportunities, such as beautification, outreach, inventory management, tool repair, and participation in steering committees.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to enhance your involvement in the community and support the NE Seattle Tool Library. You can also earn perks, including a free tool library membership if you volunteer one shift (or three hours) per month, access to our Ridwell bin, and a free Seattle REconomy class for volunteering three shifts (or nine hours) in a month. For more information on volunteering, visit seattlereconomy.org/volunteer.
Our monthly sessions alternate between the NE Seattle Tool Library and the Shoreline Tool Library, providing foundational training applicable to both locations. Please cancel your RSVP if you can no longer attend.
**Accessibility:** The NE Seattle Tool Library is largely wheelchair accessible, although some areas, including the all-gender restroom, may not be fully ADA compliant. Non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own interpreters if needed. Contact us with any accessibility requests.
**Getting There:** The library is accessible via King County Metro bus routes, has bike storage available, and offers limited parking (but no accessible spaces). We look forward to seeing you there!
