Details:
Join us for the **Tool School for Women+: Build a Contemporary Side Table**, a two-part beginner-friendly workshop designed to help participants create a fully finished side table while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This class is perfect for those new to building or looking to apply foundational skills, whether you have prior experience from other Tool School classes or beyond.
Over the course of two sessions, you will learn essential woodworking techniques such as joinery, panel glue-up, and woodworking layouts at your own pace, with plenty of time for questions and individualized support. By the end, you'll not only complete your side table but also gain confidence in your building abilities.
### What to Bring:
Participants are required to bring safety glasses, hearing protection, and an N95 dust mask. Although various stains and finishes will be provided, you're encouraged to bring your preferred stain or paint. If you own a jigsaw, palm sander, or orbital sander, you’re welcome to bring those tools as well.
### Class Schedule:
- **Part One**: Saturday, June 27th, from 3–7 PM
- **Part Two**: Sunday, June 28th, from 10 AM–12 PM
Classes are instructed by Lynette Wacholz, an experienced instructor passionate about tools and teaching. We offer a sliding scale for class fees to enhance accessibility and encourage those facing financial barriers to reach out for assistance.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with ample parking and public transport options available. Children may attend with their parent or guardian upon prior arrangement. Our Women+ classes are designed for women, including cisgender and transgender women, as well as transgender men and nonbinary individuals, in a space focused on shared experiences and growth.
