Details:
Join the America250 Reading Challenge this July to celebrate America's 250th birthday by engaging in reading activities for all ages! From July 1 to July 31, log your reading minutes, earn badges, and recognize 250 years of stories, innovation, and history. This initiative is supported by a grant awarded to the Osceola Library System from Florida Humanities, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, which has enabled the expansion of a special America250 Book Collection.
Additionally, kick off your Fourth of July celebrations with our "Take and Make: Patriotic Painted Flag" program. Starting July 2, pick up a free kit to create your own handcrafted flag, while supplies last, or download the project instructions at bit.ly/PatrioticFlag1. Recommended supplies include unfinished wooden stars, red, white, and blue paint, a paintbrush, water cup, and a pencil. Celebrate our nation's past, present, and future with these festive, educational activities!
