Join the Greenway in Issaquah for a hands-on Squak Valley Restoration and Plant Walk at Squak Valley Park. This event invites participants of all ages to help restore native plant habitat along Issaquah Creek, contributing to salmon habitat recovery and supporting the growth of native vegetation. The day begins with a guided nature walk led by our restoration crew, and participants will assist in clearing invasive species to protect newly planted trees and shrubs. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy, close-toed shoes, and are encouraged to bring warm layers, rain gear, snacks, and water. The park, nestled between Squak and Tiger Mountain, encompasses 11 undeveloped acres that serve as a vital wildlife corridor.
