Project Turnaround (PT) provides the Too Good For Drugs (TGFD) curriculum to 1st thru 12th grade students in 30-45 minute sessions, once a week for 10 weeks or twice a week for 5 weeks to local schools and community sites. PT also holds annual community events - i.e. Break the Norm, PETEY's Back to School Bash, Shade Out Drugs, etc. Prevention Specialists are available to deliver presentations for schools and community sites. - i.e. Tobacco, Alcohol, Prescription Drugs. Referral services and drug prevention information are available for schools & community sites. Project HOPE is a community coalition addressing the use of alcohol, prescription drugs, and marijuana in Nueces County. We are seeking the following 12 Sectors: Youth, Parent, Business, Media, School, Higher Education, Youth Serving Organization, Law Enforcement, Religious/Fraternal Organization, Civic/Volunteer groups, Healthcare Professional, and Organization involved in reducing substance abuse. Project HOPE is available for presentations discussing Alcohol, and Prescription Drugs as well as community events to promote awareness.
