Details:
History comes to your neighborhood! Our In-Community programs bring the museum beyond its walls and into community spaces, offering hands-on activities for families and all ages. Participants can explore history through interactive art making activities and engage with objects from the Museum’s education teaching collection. Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, these programs invite families to learn together, connect with local stories, and experience history in fun, accessible ways right where they live. Engage with objects from the museum’s education collection inspired by Miami’s history—from a replica dire wolf skull to a miniature trolley. Guided by a Museum Educator, families explore through interactive discussion and hands-on discovery. Each program includes a lively storytime tied to Miami’s past, followed by a creative, take-home craft inspired by the story and objects. For more information, please contact the branch at 305-232-1771 or smithk@mdpls.org. All ages. Please note this is an external link and will navigate you away from museumofmiami.org.
