July Zentangle with Lori Morris

Come join us this July for a brand-new experience at the studio! The amazing Lori Morris is going to guide us into the super relaxing art of Zentangle, and we would love to have you in the circle.

If you’ve never heard of it, Zentangle is a beautiful, meditative art form where you create really cool images by drawing structured, repetitive patterns. We call these patterns "tangles," and you build them using the simplest little strokes like dots, straight lines, and gentle curves. Because these intricate-looking designs are broken down into easy, bite-sized steps, it completely takes away that pressure to be perfect. It’s all about focus, deep relaxation, and finding your creative groove, and you don't need a single ounce of artistic experience to do it.

How this actually helps your wellness: Plunging into these repetitive patterns is like a secret shortcut to quieting a busy mind. When you focus entirely on just the very next stroke of your pen, your brain slips into a beautiful state of "flow." We will be streaming Lori live via our big Zoom projector in the large community room, so it will feel just like an intimate workshop but with all the energy of practicing together. Plus, we will have friendly volunteers hanging out in the room to pass out supplies and help guide you through every step of the way.
