Details:
Join us for the Sensory Sunday Matinee, featuring beloved 1990s classics "Jumanji" (1995, PG) and "Matilda" (1996, PG), as part of the Richland Public Library's 75th Anniversary celebration. The event kicks off at 12 PM with "Jumanji," where siblings Judy and Peter unleash jungle chaos by playing a magical board game, freeing a man trapped inside for 26 years. At 2 PM, enjoy "Matilda," a story of a gifted girl who uses her intelligence and psychic powers to combat her cruel family and sparring with a tyrannical headmistress. Sensory Sunday Matinees provide a comfortable environment with lights on, low volume, and freedom for attendees to move and express themselves. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows for added comfort. Light snacks and movie licensing are provided by the Friends of the Richland Library. If you can't make this event, don't worry—another showing of these films, alongside "The Sandlot," is scheduled for July 18th!
