Reading to the Rooster!

Kids get to practice their summer reading skills with the very best audience... our chickens!
Visit the fine feathered friends at Shawnee Town 1929 Museum FREE every Wednesday morning in July 10:00am - 12:00pm, sponsored by the Johnson County Library!
Kids can pull up a chair and show off their reading skills to our help entertain our flock. Farm-themed books will be available, or you can bring your own! Johnson County Library will also have their Kids Activity Table at the farm, and Visitors are welcome to self-guide the museum after finishing their books.
Dates include Wednesdays, July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 with sponsored admission 10:00am-12:00pm. Regular admission rates resume from 12pm-4:30pm.
