The Chief Noonday Chapter invites you to an out-and-back self-guided storybook hike on natural surface.
This hike starts Friday, October 9, and will run through Sunday, October 18, 2026, from dawn to dusk.
Along the trail you can enjoy reading the children’s book, “Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf” by Author/Illustrator Lois Ehlert. This colorful children’s book tells the story of a sugar maple tree from a young child’s perspective, from its life as a sprout to being planted in a yard.
Hike starts and ends at Mile Marker 509.7 using Avenza Map 072 on Noonan Road, Hickory Corners, MI 49060.
Park along Noonan/Sheffield Roads, Hickory Corner, MI 49060
