Ceramic Wind Chimes: 2 Part Class

Join us for a two-part Ceramic Wind Chimes class designed for ages 14 and up, led by instructor Daria Claiborne. In Part 1, taking place on Saturday, July 11 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, you'll explore the ceramic process by learning hand-building techniques to create clay tiles and unique sculptural attachments. You'll experiment with various texturing methods to enhance your pieces and apply underglazes in colors and patterns that inspire you. Your creations will be fired during the break between sessions. In Part 2, on Saturday, August 8 from 1:00 – 3:30 PM, you'll return to assemble your finished elements into a beautiful and functional wind chime, learning to arrange and string your pieces for both sound and aesthetic appeal. This class welcomes participants of all experience levels—no ceramics background necessary. Just bring your curiosity and creativity for a fun and expressive pottery experience! The cost is $70 for both sessions.
