Details:
Join us for a Braver Angels event in the Houston area that combines a potluck supper with a Fishbowl discussion on the critical question: **When should the U.S. intervene militarily in affairs beyond its borders, and why?** This gathering will provide a platform to explore diverse perspectives on military intervention, drawing on a range of views influenced by current global conflicts and America's role as a global power. Participants will engage in a structured Fishbowl discussion aimed at fostering understanding rather than debate, encouraging deep reflection on the principles and values that shape our beliefs about military action.
The evening will begin with a potluck supper from 6:00–7:00 PM, allowing attendees to connect and engage in informal conversations before the moderated discussion, which will take place from 7:00–8:30 PM. Options to participate as either a speaker or an observer will be available, and attendees will be asked about their political orientation to ensure a diverse representation of viewpoints. Whether you support military engagement, are skeptical, or are still pondering these complex questions, your voice is welcome. Open to media upon request.
