Details:
When the sun goes down and the moon comes up, the landscape turns into a mysterious yet beautiful place. Some night photographers shun the moonlit environment, but in this presentation, Chris Nicholson will teach how to embrace it.
Chris will talk about using the soft and cool tones of moonlight to fill the landscape and create images that are more difficult, or even impossible, without the moon overhead. He'll go over how to create star trails in moonlight, the challenges of exposure and white balance, how to keep a moonlit scene from looking like daylight, mixing in light painting, why and when a polarizer is useful (yes, at night!), and more. He'll also detail the finer points of using the moon as illumination versus including the moon as an element of the composition.
