In celebration of library card month, JCPL is excited to announce our Going Green with Evergreen campaign, happening September 2-30, which focuses on the value and importance of having a library card at JCPL! A main part of the campaign is our Fresh Start program, where we will forgive all fines and fees (including for lost and damaged items) on a library card account, with the exception of fines and fees that are owed to other Evergreen libraries. This program is open to all JCPL library card holders, active or inactive, regardless of the amount of fines and fees owed, for the entire month of September only. If fines and fees prevent you from using the library, then take advantage of this limited-time Fresh Start program. We would love to have you back!
Throughout the month, there will also be a variety of social media posts on our Facebook and Instagram, and activities inside the library, including the following:
Find the Green Characters Scavenger Hunt- Come in September 2-30 and look for different green-themed book and movie characters throughout the library and complete the scavenger hunt for a green sticker at the front desk!
Free Popcorn Day- Stop in for free popcorn on Wednesday, September 3 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m., while supplies last.
Free JCPL Merch Day– A limited-edition JCPL color changing stadium cup will be given out to any patron who checks something out on Friday, September 12, while supplies last.
**A. J. Wetzel Concert- Don’t miss this free concert for adults at the library on Monday, September 15, with a special VIP gift giveaway for library cardholders (see more information about the concert later in this issue!)
Sweet Treat Day- End the final week of our campaign by getting a free cookie at the library on Wednesday, September 24 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., while supplies last.
