Cafe Wednesdays

This was born out of the accident that took two students' lives and changed the course of two others. We had a prayer night to gather the students to show support and bring them to Jesus in their grief, knowing only He could truly bring them peace after such a devastating loss. We wondered how we could get them back in to tell them why we said God was good, knowing that sounds so cliché when you are hurting. So we put the challenge out there for sponsors to cover their coffee to bring them back in to form a community that could support one another in hard times as well as good. This community rose to the challenge and every week since has been covered…..until now! That is amazing. We had no idea what God would do with this, and it has been a tremendous blessing not only to the students, but to our staff and, for sure, to the customers who come in while this is happening! They are blown away by the number of students who choose to get up early on the very morning they could sleep in and come to a coffee shop to talk about Jesus and pray with their peers. There are no church lines here, no religious divisions, private, public, and homeschool students come!

If you’d like to sponsor a morning, we just run a tab, and you come in or call later that day and pay the tab for that morning. Each student is able to order a small drink of their choice, and if they upgrade, they add $1 of their own money!
