For youth 9-18 as of September 30th 2026 (those youth who are 5-8 must be have a parent present for all meetings and market night.)

Join the Goochland 4-H Youth Market Series and learn what it takes to launch your own small business and sell your products at the Goochland Farmers Market. Through fun, hands-on lessons, you'll gain real-world skills while working alongside local farmers, makers, and business owners.

Marketing and promoting your business

Customer service and communication skills

Confidence, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to open their own booth and sell their products during Youth Night at the Goochland Farmers Market! on September 29th
Lesson Schedule
Location: Goochland Branch Library
Time: 6:00–7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)
September 10: Introduction to the Program & Choosing Your Business
September 17: Cost of Goods & Selling Food Products (6:45–7:45 p.m.)
September 24: Marketing Your Business
September 28 (Optional): Market Prep Night
September 29: MARKET NIGHT!
Please note: The first three lessons are required to participate in the market. Virtual attendance may be available if arranged in advance with the 4-H Agent.
Program Fee: $40
Registration includes program supplies, refreshments, and your booth fee for the Goochland Farmers Market.
