Details:
Students discover what makes a sea turtle unique, learn about the species found in Florida, explore their adaptations and nesting process, and find out how they can help protect these animals. They then take part in “Rehab or Release?”, a hands?on activity where they act as biologists, collect data on a model sea turtle, and decide whether it’s ready to return to the ocean or needs rehabilitation. Along the way, they practice real scientific skills and learn about the human impacts affecting sea turtles today. No live turtles are included in this program.
