Join us on Tuesday, June 16, at 6 p.m. for a book conversation featuring author Eddie S. Glaude Jr. and Michael Morris, director of the Two Mississippi Museums, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums. Glaude’s latest work, "America, U.S.A.: How Race Shadows the Nation’s Anniversaries", is an exploration of the nation’s legacy, its complicated past, and its tenuous future through voices such as W. E. B. Du Bois, John Dos Passos, Herman Melville, and Martin Luther King Jr.
Copies of "America, U.S.A." will be available for purchase, and a book signing will be held at 5 p.m., before and after the program in partnership with Lemuria Books and the Mississippi Book Festival. For more information, call 601 576-6850 or email info@mdah.ms.gov.
