Cornell Botanic Gardens is a living museum and a unit of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. Its mission is to inspire people through cultivation, conservation, and education to understand, appreciate, and nurture plants and the cultures they sustain. The gardens and natural areas serve as outdoor classrooms for instruction across seven Cornell colleges and host research addressing global challenges. They steward the university's gorges and natural areas, conduct conservation efforts, and offer a variety of educational programs for adults, including tours, workshops, and lectures. Cornell Botanic Gardens also provides opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to engage in research and enhance classes, studies, and outreach through its gardens and natural areas.
