Mountain Bike Try-It Night

Curious about mountain biking? Try it for FREE! Have you ever wanted to try mountain biking but weren't sure where to start? This FREE event is the perfect opportunity for riders of all ages to give one of the fastest-growing outdoor sports a try in a fun, welcoming environment.
Hosted by IROC, the City of Chisholm, 30West, and the Minnesota Discovery Center, this Mountain Bike Try-It Night will take place at Redhead MTB Park. Participants will have the opportunity to try out mountain bikes provided by the City of Chisholm Parks & Recreation Department (or bring their own), explore beginner-friendly green trails, and experience the new Pump Track & Skills Course. These trails will also be accessible via the Minnesota Discovery Center's Ride the Other Side Shuttle Program.
Helmets are required for all riders. Please wear tennis shoes and bring your own helmet if you have one. A limited number of helmets in various sizes will be available to borrow.
Experienced riders and volunteers will be on hand to teach the basics, answer questions, and ride alongside participants for support.
As an added bonus, we are giving away a Redhead MTB Park biking jersey to one lucky participant!
Make a night of it! The Minnesota Discovery Center will be open from 4:00–8:00pm, so after your ride, stick around to explore the Museum, play a round of mini golf, tour the grounds, and enjoy what MDC has to offer.
Event Schedule:

4:30pm – Event opens to the public, meet at the Redhead MTB Park Trailhead

4:30–7:00pm – Ride the Redhead MTB Park Green Trails

7:00pm – Event concludes; enjoy free admission at the Minnesota Discovery Center until 8:00pm
