Family Discovery Day: Fossils X3! Thursday, July 17 3:00pm – 4:00pm Sensory Friendly (quieter) Hour 4:00pm – 7:30pm Full Sensory Hours Join us on Thursday, July 17 from 3:00–7:30pm for a day full of fossils, fun, and family adventures at Family Discovery Day: Fossils X3! Presenters at this season's Fossils X3! include campers from the week's Paleo Camp who will be sharing their finds from a day in the field. Visitors will be able to see what the campers have discovered, listen as they describe their week's activities, and answer questions about what they learned at Paleo Camp. Our friends from the Science Museum of Minnesota will also be on hand with fossils and staff. There will also be many other fossils from the Iron Range on display! This Family Discovery Day will feature our VR headsets that transport you straight to the Cretaceous period. As this is an event for the entire family, we'll also have a special fossil play station for the smallish of your dino explorers. And don’t miss our prehistoric eats in the outdoor Food Court! From dino nuggets to fossil cookies, our kitchen staff is serving up treats that are completely Cretaceous. Come dig into discovery at MDC — it’s gonna be rawr-some!
