2026 Where's Rusty? - Downtown Iowa City

Join the 2026 "Where's Rusty?" scavenger hunt in Downtown Iowa City from July 1 to August 31! Participants will search for Rusty the Giant Sloth hidden in various local businesses. Each time you find Rusty, you’ll earn a stamp on your card. Collect at least 10 stamps and submit your card at the Iowa City Public Library, Iowa Book, or the Museum of Natural History to win a small prize and enter for a chance at a grand prize basket. Don't forget to visit the real Rusty the Giant Sloth at the Museum of Natural History! Map cards are available at participating locations or can be printed online. A list of participating businesses includes spots like AKAR, FilmScene, Prairie Lights Books, and many more.
