In this workshop our instructor/s will guide you through studio basics in safety and process and then give a demonstration on the hot glass furnace-worked piece you will be making. You will then have the opportunity to gather molten glass from a 2100-degree furnace. You will get to choose your colors and sculpt molten glass into a beautiful and unique creation of your own. Your creation will have to cool down slowly overnight and will be available to pick up a couple of days later. The studio can get hot, so please dress accordingly. COTTON -T-shirts and/or button downs- with or without sleeves. COTTON-blue jeans or shorts work well. Tennis shoes, hiking shoes, casual walking shoes. NO FLIPFLOPS, or SANDALS or HIGH HEELS. NO Yoga gear. No work out clothing. No Nylon. No synthetic clothing!! NO TIGHT STRETCHY CLOTHING>>>>> If you have a personal pair of safety glasses or prescription glasses, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some to lend in the studio. You must be 10 years of age or older to participate. Comp/trade will not be consider after the session has begun. The following are the policies regarding cancelling a reservation: If You Have Booked Class Time Through EventBrite or GAI Studio: -100% Refund with 7 or more days’ notice /no refund of the EventBrite processing fee will be refunded. - 0% refunded with 6 or fewer days’ notice. No ticket or EventBrite processing fee will be refunded. Private Lesson – 0% of a private booking fee will be refunded. Comp in value to reschedule will be considered but not guaranteed based on group size, cancellation time frame, EventBrite rescheduling, etc. Your creation will have to cool down slowly overnight and will be available to pick up the next business day.
