protocol (tv-lap)date & time: monday, july 27, 2026location: hutto police department training room 401 w. front st., hutto, tx 78634please join us for a 2-hour training on the
targeted violence lethality assessment protocol (tv-lap), a brief 12-question
screening tool for law enforcement officers and co-responders to use when they
are called to a scene or situation where someone is engaging in threatening in
communications or behavior. the tv-lap provides an efficient and
consistent process for conducting an initial investigation in the case, and the
results may lead responders to recommend a wavr-21, sivra-35, full threat
assessment, or legal measures (e.g., warrant, arrest). the results also
provide baseline information in case there is a second or third contact with
the individual.the tv-lap was developed by a team of
researchers, law enforcement officers, and mental health clinicians, and it's
been vetted by the u.s. secret service's national threat assessment
center. dr. sarah
