The festival features the work of 35 artists from all over the US. Two days of pots, potters, competitions, demos, food, and fun. Potters will be demonstrating different firing techniques. Raku firing demonstrations. Pottery Olympics challenges will go on throughout both days. Potters will compete for tallest pot, widest pot, and blindfolded throwing style. There is a kids table for hands-on activities. Come hungry! There will be food trucks and a Crow River Winery beverage stand. The Minnesota Pottery Festival is made possible in part by grants provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council (SMAC) through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature from the State's arts and cultural heritage fund with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
