Seaford 9/11 Memorial Committee

Since its inception, the 9/11 SHS Memorial Fund has received not only the financial support but also the moral support of so many people. The success of your efforts is the 9/11 SHS Memorial, a permanent tribute to our five Seaford HS alumni (Tom, Tim, John, Rob and Michael) who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on the WTC on 9-11-01. This memorial stands on the grounds of Seaford High School and it has become a learning plaza that is dedicated to teaching students of Seaford the meaning of democracy. In addition, the 9/11 Memorial Fund finances the Patriot Award which is presented annually to five Seaford HS seniors who have distinguished themselves in service to school and/or community. Our achievements are a testimony to the friends of the 9/11 SHS Memorial. This response has defined "Seaford Pride". The Patriot Award is named in recognition of all that is meaningful to us as Americans. Our continued promotion of September 11th as a "Day of Commitment to Service" is a testimony to our lost alumni.
