Join us for "The Snakeman" event at Trinidad Lake State Park featuring a live reptile and arachnid presentation by Jarod “Snakeman” Johnson. This interactive, hands-on experience is designed for all ages and offers a unique opportunity to discover fascinating facts and engage in up-close encounters with reptiles and arachnids. The event aims to transform fear into curiosity and respect for Colorado’s often misunderstood wildlife, while highlighting the essential roles these creatures play in ecosystems from the plains to the mountains. This family-friendly evening is filled with discovery, education, and scientific wonder, fostering a deeper appreciation for some of Colorado’s most remarkable inhabitants. Activities will proceed rain or shine at the amphitheater located past the Visitor Center on Carpios Ridge. Please note that while the activities are free, all vehicles must display a Park Pass, available for purchase at the Visitor Center or self-serve stations.
