Mountain Man “Crazy Will” will join us for a special appearance for this program.
Since before Trinidad Lake State Park was created, beavers have been shaping the landscape of the Purgatory River Valley. Their dam-building skills are impressive- but there’s so much more to discover about these remarkable rodents. This program will dive into the surprising ways beavers have adapted to survive and thrive, and the critical role they play in our ecosystem. Join us for a fun and informative evening celebrating North America’s largest rodent!
Activities are rain or shine. The amphitheater is located past the Visitor Center on Carpios Ridge. Follow the signs for the walking trail. These activities are free to the public, however all vehicles are required to have a Park Pass. You can purchase a pass at the Visitor Center or any of our self-serve stations.
