The Streamwood Park District is a special purpose unit of government dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in its diverse community through parks and recreation. Its mission is to provide diverse and responsive recreational opportunities, enriching life with memorable moments through excellence in recreation. The district manages over 47 parks and facilities, including the Park Place Family Recreation Center and the Hoosier Grove Barn. They offer a wide array of programs for all ages and abilities, encompassing aquatics, athletics (such as basketball, soccer, and tennis), cultural arts (including dance and theater), fitness, and early childhood education.
