**STEAM Summer: The Art of Creating in August 2026**

Join us for an engaging month of artistic exploration every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the STEAM Lab. August is dedicated to inspiring creativity through hands-on art and design, where children can bring their ideas to life. The program features a rotating series of creative experiences, including:

- August 1: Color Mixing
- August 8: Cyanotypes
- August 15: Clay Play
- August 22: Pop-Up Neighborhood
- August 29: Bead Snakes

In addition to these activities, families can participate in Scavenger Hunts each Saturday, discovering the museum in fun and exciting new ways while completing challenges to earn prizes.

Timed wristbands for 30-minute sessions in the STEAM Lab are required and can be acquired daily throughout the summer. Admission rates are $10 for adults, $8 for military or seniors, $7 for students, and $5 for children ages 6–12, with free entry for children five and under and 50% off for museum members.

Additionally, on our Second Saturdays at VVM, children can engage in crafting colorful beaded snakes using pipe cleaners and googly eyes, promoting pattern-making and imaginative design. This family-friendly event focuses on creativity and connection with science and culture.

Parking is free, and the museum is accessible for individuals with disabilities. Join us this August for a month filled with creativity and exploration!
