Details:
Join us for a Guided Trail Walk at The North Carolina Arboretum from April to October, where you can explore the diverse botanical forest. This free hiking program, led by trained volunteer guides, accommodates small groups of up to 15 participants and traverses various woodland trails. Topics of discussion may vary by season and include wildflowers, plant and tree identification, and natural history. Walks take place on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., lasting 1.5 to 2.5 hours and covering 1 to 2 miles.
No pre-registration is required; however, participation is first-come, first-served with sign-up sheets located at the Baker Visitor Center. Please dress appropriately for changing weather, as the walks occur rain or shine. Guests under 16 years of age are not recommended to join, and well-behaved leashed pets are welcome, although disruptive pets may be asked to leave. While the walks are free, donations to The North Carolina Arboretum Society are appreciated, and regular parking fees apply; Arboretum Society members park for free. Come and experience the beauty of the Arboretum's trails!
