Details:
Join us for a Guided Trail Walk at The North Carolina Arboretum and explore its diverse botanical forest from April to October. This free hiking program, led by trained volunteer guides, caters to small groups of up to 15 participants and covers various woodland trails, with discussions on seasonal topics such as wildflowers, plant and tree identification, and natural history. Walks are held on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., lasting 1.5 to 2.5 hours and covering 1 to 2 miles. While no pre-registration is required, please note that walks are first-come, first-served, with sign-up sheets available at the Baker Visitor Center. Participants should dress for changing weather conditions, as the walks occur rain or shine.
Due to safety recommendations, guests under 16 years of age are not advised to participate. Well-behaved leashed pets are welcome; however, disruptive pets may be asked to leave. While the walks are free, donations to The North Carolina Arboretum Society are appreciated, and regular parking fees apply—Arboretum Society members park for free. Reserve your spot and get ready to experience the beauty of the Arboretum's trails!
