Chess Meetup

Join us for a Chess Meetup at the Fairview Library, where players of all ages and skill levels—ranging from beginners to seasoned competitors—can come together for a relaxed morning of friendly competition. This informal, self-directed event invites participants aged 12 to 99 to drop in, play games, practice strategies, and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts. While some boards and pieces will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Please note that this is not an instructional class, so players will arrange their own games with minimal moderation. Parents of children under 12 must remain present in the library throughout the event. Enjoy a great time of chess and community!
