Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Landrum Library
Speaker: Tim Lee, naturalist and educator
Nature is filled with things that spark our curiosity – from animals that look like plants to plants that look like animals; from mushrooms that resemble sea stars and urchins to strange blobs that seem to move slowly from one place to another or suddenly spring in to action when startled. Join us as we explore nature’s cabinet of curiosities.
A native South Carolinian, Tim has studied and taught as a naturalist and biologist throughout the southeast for more than 32 years. For the past 23 years he has been the Interpretive Ranger/Naturalist for South Carolina State Park Service’s Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area where he conducts research and provides educational programs for children and adults. He is the South Carolina Park Services coordinator with the South Carolina Master Naturalist Program and is an Educational Leadership Partner for the South Carolina Aquarium. Tim is a member of the National Association of Interpreters, and an honorary SC Statewide Master Naturalist.
The Landrum Library Speaker Series programs are made possible thanks to our partnership with the Spartanburg County Public Libraries.
