Details:
FENCE needs your help clearing invasive plants on the FENCE property. Join them for a fulfilling day of good work and companionship! Wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and gloves, and bring a pair of hand clippers if you have them.
Workdays are scheduled on the second Thursday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and will likely continue through the summer of 2026.
Volunteers will meet at the FENCE parking lot on Hunting Country Road. For driving directions, click here. After you turn onto the Fence property, make a sharp right turn by the covered picnic area. Please note that while this endeavor is included on our calendar, Conserving Carolina is not managing this activity. Therefore, the workday will be coordinated by FENCE representatives.
“FENCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve as a community resource for the preservation of green space and for educational and recreational opportunities linking nature, animals, and people.” Learn much more about FENCE, its mission, and its programs here.
To RSVP for this workday event, email Greg at lindykins@charter.net or Don at wouldwork@gmail.com.
